Pet Tag Size Guide
We have grouped our tags into five categories based on size, from mini to extra large.
Extra small tags are generally recommended for cats, puppies, rabbits & other small pets. Medium tags are the most popular for property tags & keyrings. Extra large tags are popular for equestrian usage - horses and ponies.
For Dogs, we recommend using shoulder height approach below to find the maximum recommended size.
Shoulder height
For dogs and other larger pets, we suggest measuring shoulder height and using this to identify the maximum recommended size below.
Extra Small Tags
Suitable for pets with up to 35cm (14”) shoulder height.
Perfect for Cats, Puppies & Rabbits.
Dog breeds include the: Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Pekinese, Dachshund, Maltese, Pomeranian, Havanese, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Scottish Terrier, West Highland Terrier, Pug, & French bulldog.
Small Tags
Ideal for pets with shoulder heights between 35-50cm (14-20”).
Dog breeds include the: Staffordshire Bull terrier, Foxterrier, Beagle, Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog), Cocker spaniel, Small and medium poodle, Whippet, German Pinscher, Chow-Chow, Standard Schnauzers, Irish Terrier.
Medium Tags
Ideal for pets with shoulder heights between 50-65cm (20-26”).
Most popular size for keyrings.
Dog breeds include the: Keeshond, Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Bearded Collie, Labrador Retriever, Siberian Husky, Golden Retriever, Dalmatian, Boxer, Airedale Terrier, Bobtail & German Shepherd.
Large Tags
Ideal for pets with shoulder heights between 50-65cm (20-26”).
Most popular size for keyrings.
Dog breeds include the: Rottweiler, Berger de Brie (Briard), Hovawart, Irish Red Setter, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Bernese Mountain Dog, Doberman pinscher, Afghan hound, Newfoundland, Leonberger & Greyhound.
Extra Large Tags
Ideal for pets with shoulder heights over 80cm (32”)
Most popular size for horses.
Dog breeds include the: Saint Bernard, Great Dane, Borzoi, Mastiff & Irish Wolfhound.
